Stephanie L. Fabbro practices exclusively in the area of divorce and family law. She is a Parenting Coordinator, Arbitrator, Family Law Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer. Stephanie is committed to helping her client’s transition through divorce in an amicable and non-adversarial way. Stephanie has extensive experience with complicated family law property issues and support issues, as well as drafting complicated marriage and cohabitation agreements. Stephanie has been instrumental in the ongoing development of alternative dispute resolution in family law. Through active engagement in leadership positions within the BC Collaborative Roster Society, Collaborative Divorce BC, the BC Parenting Coordinators Roster Society, Stephanie has worked to establish and enlarge the scope of non-adversarial approaches to family law dispute resolution, inviting and supporting an interdisciplinary model that is responsive to the legal and non-legal needs of her clients. Her approach is child centered, and facilitates wellbeing for the entire family unit.
Stephanie is the President of the BC Collaborative Roster Society and sits on the board of the BC Parenting Coordinator Roster Society. Stephanie has been recognized as a “Expert in Family Law” by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
Stephanie graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts and received her LL.B from Dalhousie Law School. In 1999, Stephanie was called to the Bar in both British Columbia and Nova Scotia. After articling at a mid-size law firm in British Columbia, Stephanie moved to Cape Breton Island where she practiced family law in a small community. In 2000, she returned to Vancouver, British Columbia where she has practised exclusively in the area of family law. In December, 2008, Stephanie and Lisa Hamilton founded Hamilton Fabbro.
